| Mr Brown, Year 3 & 4 teacher, Sheriff Hutton school, York. | |
| "I have just completed a tour with 36 pupils, 10 adults
and Maximus Gluteus. It was fast flowing, never allowing a young group
of children to get bored. As a tour leader, he got the whole group safely from place to place keeping the children together. We are all a lot wiser about some of the hidden treasures of York and some parts we visited I personally had no idea existed even though I am a York resident! The children enjoyed the quiz that was given out and some became very focused to find out the answers. All of which were given out during the tour which encouraged the children to listen carefully. The children were very excited when he dressed up as a Roman soldier showing them exactly how to put it on. His knowledge of the Roman bath was an excellent follow up to what we had been studying in class" |

| Susan Sandle, year 3&4 teacher, St Aelred's primary school, York. | |
| "Mr Mulhearn was extremely helpful concerning the arrangements
and understanding of the needs of 26, 8 & 9 year olds. He was extremely
well informed about the Romans and the history of York and was able to
answer the many different questions posed by the children. He was also very comfortable with the children, able to sustain their interest and was skilled in dealing with the needs of the age group". |

| Charlotte Kane, organiser of a hen party to York!? | |
| "You most defiantly played a part in making Kate's
hen weekend the complete success it was. I'm so pleased that being greeted
by a group of girls, vaguely hung-over, didn't phase you! Your knowledge,
friendliness, humour and flexibility to suit us, turned the subject of
history, for once in our lives, into a truly fascinating experience. You
were a committed, educational and entertaining storyteller, but most importantly,
someone who made us laugh and enlivened our enthusiasm
My one piece of advice to pass on to potential tour-ees would be whether you are a visitor or a local, do yourself a big favour and take this tour". |
|
| Mrs Margaret Walker, church organiser, Hellesdon, Norwich. | |
| "Not only was the walking tour very informative, it was done with good humour and sensitivity as some of us are not as sprightly as we used to be. Keith's obvious love of York and it's history came through" | |
| Roger Smallman, Yorkshire branch of national grocers benevolent fund. | |
| "I was very pleased with their contribution to a very successful evening and I would be very happy to recommend them to any other organisers of events". | |
| Rob Cremer, Journalist, Radio Breda, Netherlands | |
| "There is one aspect of our trip to York that I will mention, the wonderfull guide, Keith Mulhearn. He was excellent in showing us the rich past of York and he did more than what we expected". | |

| We would like to thank you once again for the excellent
tour you gave 32 of our members,,, a highlight was a visit to the Roman
Bath and the remains of the old hospital!..Absolutely fascinating! When we had to leave you after about six hours in your company we felt we had taken leave of an old friend! You managed to cope with our large group admirably, they could all hear your every word and were delighted with the tour. With every good wish and our thanks once again, Trisha Harrison Chairman RLSDFAS |

...I was looking for somebody to organise a day's itinerary to lessen
the load for me. You (Roamin Tours) took over the whole day with organised
activities starting at 10am in the coach park and ending at 8pm when
we returned to our camp site. ..We had lunch at the railway museum where you had arranged for us to eat in a railway carriage, something I would not have thought of myself,,, At no point did you talk down to the scouts and went out of your way to make sure that they were enjoying themselves. I think anyone who can cope with 20 people between the ages of 10 and 50 and keep them occupied for 10 hours deserves a medal. Yours sincerely Mrs C. A. Godwin Assistant Scout Leader |

| Regarding the recent Year 4 visit to York. ...Unlike other tour guides to whom I spoke, you were prepared to come to us and fit in with our timing and plans being keen to deliver a tour suited to our children's needs and were prepared to listen to what I wanted and to tailor it to our requirements... You were punctual and immediately interacted sensitively wth the children, talking in a friendly manner and encouraging them all to listen and participate without the need to raise your voice. I would unreservedly recommend Roamin Tours to any group visiting York, especially any group with specific needs such as ours. Yours faithfully Barbara Robinson Y3/4 Phase Co-ordinator |

| ,,,my colleagues enjoyed their recent tour of York (even
those not normally known to walk anywhere voluntarily!) I was born and raised in York and I have always been very aware of its history, yet you managed to surprise me with both interesting facts and juicy historical titbits. I shall have no hesitation in recommending your informative, lively, fun filled tour to anyone who wants a fresh and engaging look at our ancient city. As an accountant I will also draw attention to your extremely reasonable charges. Yours sincerely David Atkinson BSc (hons) |

| On behalf of the club members and the committee
we would like to thank you again for a well organised and interesting day
out. Without your guidance we certainly would not have seen the well hidden
nooks and crannies of the city. The fact that we were able to discuss the itenerary in advance went a long way to ensure we got what we wanted from the tour. Yours sincerely Brian Oram |
